Didn't have any problems with printing this beyond a little bit of stringing (Using Generic PLA profile). Hit it with a nice strong UV light and enjoy the glow effect! Color transitions were nice and smooth on medium/taller parts. Outer walls were crisp and clean and holes in parts seemed good with no sags.

This is a good filament with an interesting color palette that prints well, albeit with a bit of tweaking. It comes out a bit darker than expected but the overall effect is very nice. Especially good for prints that are more aesthetically oriented, although it gives up nothing in functionality. Overall, a good filament that prints cleanly and to good effect.

2 stars. Meh minus. Has some major downside or flaws
3 stars. Meh. Not great, has some issues but you may find it useful
4 stars. Meets expectations, works as designed, no major or obvious issues, a very reasonable choice
5 stars. Exceeds expectations significantly, highly recommended purchase.

I always appreciate when a roll of filament comes in a resealable bag, as this does. This spool came nice and dry, as I stuck it in my drier for 10 hours before use and it didn't lose a single gram of water weight (1-2g loss is completely normal). I stuck it in my printer, did a quick calibration, and went straight to printing using the default PLA settings (220°C hot end, 58°C textured PEI plate) on my Bambu Carbon X1 with a 0.4mm nozzle. I usually use a 0.6mm nozzle to avoid clogs, but the item description says 0.4mm or larger, so I figured I'd give it a try.

My first print (a swatch) came out perfect. No clogs and totally clean. So I moved on to something more challenging, a 4.5 hour statue print. This printed nearly perfect, but there are a couple line that look like layer shifts, but are only apparent on one side (a layer shift should show around the whole model, I believe). I'm not sure if this was a printer or a filament issue. Besides that, it printed mostly clean, handling overhangs and supports almost flawlessly. On really small, quick sections (fingertips, ears), I did get a fair amount of stringing which was easy to clean up, mostly just requiring slight rubbing with my finger.

Overall I'm pleased with this filament. It looks pretty nice (though I think "wood" filaments tend to not look very wood-like) and certainly smells like hot wood while printing. I had no issues with clogging on a 0.4mm hot end, which saves me from having to switch to a 0.6mm every time I want to use this filament. The two tone wood looks okay, but it's not fooling anybody. It looks like brown/tan plastic. The price for a wood filament seems reasonable.

The Lovoon blue / silver PLA roll comes well packaged in a vacuum sealed bag. I have never used a blue silver mix so I thought it would be interesting to try. The reel has a good winding and if you look at the photo of the color you can see it has a nice silky sheen to it. I found this mix produces a “blue jeans” washed out look.

I was using printing temperatures within the recommended specs, going with 210C for the first layer, 200 C for the entire print and a bed temperature of 60C for my test object that I printed multiple times. The first print had bed adhesion issues which you can see in the video. Also, the part finish indicates a bit of moisture in the filament. I ran it in an air dryer after the first test and the subsequent prints came out better. So, keep this in mind if you use this filament. This filament also likes to print slower than others as well with a recommended print speed of 25-45mm/s. But if you are looking for a unique color this mix fits well.

Good filament a little on the pricy side. You can get better for cheaper really. But it is a nice color and works just fine in my printer.
