Prints smooth and clean. No bubbles or stringing so it seems to come nice and dry!
I needed some white filament for another project that never ended up happening. When I needed to print a functional part replacement in my garage, lets say white isn’t always the go to color. Seeing as how I had already dried it for 7 hours and queued it up in my printer I threw caution to the wind and started printing. Everything went fine for the print, bed adhesion was good (except 7-8+ years ago when is it not for PLA) and everything went off without any troubles.
The good, the color of this filament is actually pretty decent. White is one of those filament colors that really crosses a lot of shades depending on how much recycled material or the distributor quality gets involved. I’ve had higher end brands that were more bone or off white. This is not bad color wise when under the right light. The picture on the printer bed looks a little off white but that’s due to the 2700k LED’s in my printer versus the 4000k when it was taken on my workbench. All in all it performed as expected, I didn’t measure diameters and such this time since I was originally in a bit of a hurry to get something printed.
Not as good, the only thing here really was that the bag this was vacuum sealed inside didn't have a strong seal. So the filament was no longer vacuum sealed, this required more than usual drying before printing. With 7 hours drying before I was surprised to see steam coming from the nozzle in the beginning so it was still wet. No other complaints, spool was wound well enough and no tangles that I’ve seen yet.
I’ve previously used LOVOON’s PLA Silk filament and decided to give their PETG a try. The filament arrived vacuum-sealed with no visible signs of moisture, though I still dried it for a few hours before printing.
Using the generic PETG setting on my Bambu printer, it printed flawlessly—great adhesion, no stringing, and consistent quality throughout the print. I’d definitely purchase LOVOON PETG again.
